Summary of Oliver Twist!

Oliver Twist was born in a workhouse. His mother allways drunk, and when she died, his father, a busy local doctor, didn't pay enought to be very interested in Oliver's survival.

Then, he went on an orphanate and in there he did the job of undo the ropes, but his really destiny was to be housekeeper.

His first job wasn't very pleased, and he had to leave his family because the son insults her mother and Oliver hit him.

After that, Oliver decided to walk alone for go to London, and he was walking during one week, without food and any places to sleep.

In London, he stopped in front of the church, and lying on a floor he met with Dodger, a same age's boy.

He started to live in old flat with other poor orphen boys and with an old man who looked after them: Fagin. With this "Family", Oliver learned how to steal, and he discovered the Fagin's secret: a box with gold jewels.

When Dodger and Charly went to a city to steal something Oliver go with them, but the police saw the children and ould catched Oliver. He was very hungry and ill, and the victim of the robbery decided to adopt and look after the poor boy.

With this way, Oliver could have some happy days, he wore clean and expensive clothes and helped his new family a lot... but Fagin's family was afraid because they thought that Oliver called the police to talked about them. So, Fagin have a friend, Sick, and with his help and one girl, they could take Oliver at home again.

After a few days, Sick wanted to go on a house where Oliver passed his more happy days and steal something from there, but at finally the police could catch him, and Oliver came back with the rich family who looked after them them very well.

Fagin was closed in a prison, but his mind didn't be sane, anyway he could recognize Oliver, but we don't know what happened with other boys :(.

**Final evaluation for english **

In my opinin I thing that this english classes have been very succesful to improve my english, this idea of organize the class in corners (for use the PC, see videos, do speakings with Anika, listenigs, and readings, and do exrecicis from the grammar book for practicise for the Selectivitat exams) is a good from that the students don't do the same every week , and learn english using diferent ways.

Katy: Well, I've been studying "batxillerat" and now I'm studying at the University of Girona.

Katy: I think it's a nice place. I'm near to home, so I can take the train and I only need half an hour to get there. What are you doing in this holidays?

Claudia: Well, at this holidays I'm going to see my family because I haven't seen them for a long time and I miss them a lot. And what about yours?

Katy: Well, I'm going to Paris with my parents and I will staying there for two weeks. We are going to visit the Eiffel Tower. How is your little brother?

More people thing that if you know your parther very fast, knowing his defects too, you started to "bored" him and you want to change for look for hapiness... yes, maybe, but it isn't allways true, because in this century you have the oportunetly to split up with someone if you don't like the relation, and if you have to do that, is better do it faster as possible.

That's only a week ago that i'm leaving in this new country, but in this little period of time I have improved my English a lot. I remembered two first days that I spend here, that I felt so alone because nobody at the house where i'm living knows Spanish. In this house I have to look after two little children, one-year-old girl, and the boy's five years old, and in the same time I can have time for studying too.

I miss you a lot, and my country and languaje too, but I have to spend five months here. And, what about you? and your family? In here the people are very happy with me, and they care abput me a lot!

Hi everybody! Claudia here, welcoming to another episode of StarLife. Today, we have with us a young little star, Lori Spencer, who people don't know so much yet, but we hope that she will improve on her degree, and become one of the best cinema actress.

Lori: Hi, good night.

Claudia: well... tell us, when and why did you start acting for the cinema?

Lori: umm... I started in this world when I was nine years old. When I was a child my parents took care of me to do a theatre classes... They said that it would help me to lose my shyness, and to be sociable with other kids... In there I discovered that I have talent...

Claudia: and... and how old are you now?

Lori: 18.

Lori: ...I started to act n films when I was only 14 years old, but only did a few simply and short papers... and never appeared more than three or five minutes on scene.

Claudia: I see. And how do you feel now knowing that you will be the main character of a film for first time?

Lori: Do the main character of "Please, don't go!" is a thing that makes me so happy, and I enjoyed a lot making this film... because, uff, it's the first time that I appear at all film, with long sentenses... I'm someone important for the film this time! I don't know... it's a strange feeling...

Claudia: Yeah, I think that. Can you explain what the film is about?

Lori: yes, of course! Well... it's about one young girl, who fall in love of a boy 10 years older than her, but he, after special meetings with her, decided to split up with her, because he is married with another woman and he doesn't want problems. But he left her unknowing she was pregnant...

Claudia: uff... So is that a Drama?

Lori: yeah, ...well, it has a funny side too...

Claudia: I see... And what's the most difficult scene to film for you?

Lori: Well... in general it was easy... except the scenes of love, of course, because i'm 18 years old, and my mate, my lover in the film, is 33 years old... It was a little bit awkward... and my boyfriend didn't like it much.

Dear sir,

I am writing to you this letter because I want to explain you how water is being wasted in your country. I complain about the people use to waste the water for some unnessesary things like taking a shower more than twice a day, for their plants and gardens, or in summer to fill their private swimming pools, or in case of the children , play with the water on parks. And most of these people use to do that forgetting that we need this water to drink.

Some ideas to improve this situation could be taking more showers than a bath, but not more than twice a day, it it can be possible; in summer, going to beach or public swimmingpools, and in general, use the water only for necesary things.

If all people of the country do this measures, maybe we will not hare this kind of problems with the water, but unfortunately a little percentage of the people do not care about it.

But now, to help to solve this problem of waste, in here there is a new law that forbids us to use more water, so we have only the permission to waste some liters of water.

Comarca Guide.

LA CERDANYA.

La Cerdanya is a Pyrenean comarca in northern Catalunya. The Landscape is typically pyrenean, with deep walleyscarved out by the area's many rivers, such as El Segre and La Llosa. An economy traditionally based on agriculture is now centred around tourism, particulary during the winter months.

Things to see:

The comarcal capital Puigcerdà; situated in the north , a cuple of kilometers from the French border. In here you can found l'Església de Sant Doménec.

What to do:

Go to the parc natural in the months of warm weather, and winter sports too.

What to eat:

The popular local plate is "trinxat", it's like "bubble and squeak".

Where you stay:

There you can find a camping too.

A RIPE OLD AGE.

Catalans live longer than almost anybody else. What's their secret?

Throught human history, people have sought the secret to eternal life. They may not have come up with a solution in Catalunya just yet, but seems that plenty of people are making a pretty good attempt at it. A recent study shows that the region's average lifespan is 80.8 years, a figure surpassed only by Japan and Iceland.

The key to why people live to such a ripe old age is thanks a healthy diet, plesant climate and a lifestyle with the right balance between work and leisure. The our "mediterranean diet" is a diet rich in olive oil, fruit, vegetables, fish, and red wine.

The climate in catalonia are warm, the people waste their tim outdoors.

That's maybe some reasons that's the catalans life more.

This film talks about one travel boolks seller, who one day meets an a spectecular actress in his shop, but at first he didn't recognize him.

He was a simply man who leave in a little flat, with a blue door (lol) in London, with his flatmate, a untidy, and unemployed man. Well with a man completely opposite of him.

But, the actress fell love of him.. and he did all posible things to find and stay with her. Include pretended to be a interviewer from the magazine "Hounds and guns" (or something like that,.. I don't remember the name of these magazine).
